Bazooka tube questions
I am considering buying a bazooka tube, size unknown at this time. I would like to go and get the amped one so that would be less wiring to run. anyone have them and what do they sound like? what side is it on and how is it positioned?
i have a 4dr 01 with the kiddie seats that mounted on the backwall. I also have a portable tote that i have behind the drivers seat "but can be moved to either side".
also i dont plan on changing radios so how could i get it wired up to the factory radio?

Basslink is nicer sounding. Don't know that the Bazooka isn't a bit louder than the original Basslink though. Make sure you get the higher power tube. There was a 30 watt or so version for awhile and it's not quite as good. I have a 100 watt one and it's adequate.
They're nothing to "impress" anyone with, but it's SO much better then just the speakers that they are worth it. I got mine powered Bazooka used pretty cheap and it's been in my truck working fine for 3 years now.

That's why I did it. You can see where I put mine on my Cardomain page. I made a "custom" subwoofer level control and put it in the dash where the cigarette lighter usually is.
It's chief attraction is it's sound vs. it's size for me. Really it's just an adequate sub-woofer -- but adequates all I need, lol. I don't have room for a "real" setup.
The picture of the level control is before I went to the white faced radio display I have now. The buttons are "LED blue" on the new 6CD face I'm using, with a white display.

a bazooka tube by material design has the most resonant prone build. the material by no means is meant for an enclosure thats why they are designed not to reach lower frequencies like a "real" sub would. everything is design, even brands like Image Dynamics have 8's which can be in a ported enclosure as small as .35cuft and the addition of a mono channel Xtant amp which is about the size of your palm and you have yourself a very capable package @ around $200-250 price range. it truely competes with many 10's in the market. but i am only speakin from the point of view of a guy who has installed in a few thousand cars. the Basslink is a very good choice if you want an all in one unit.
