Subwoofer RCA Input help please

So for christmas I got a Dual 7" In dash DVD player. I already had an awesome sounding panasonic radio before and I was afraid that when I put this one in I would downgrade the sound a bit. Well when I got it all hooked up it did sound good but my one problem is the sub rca hook up. Now when I say hook up i mean single. My panasonic radio had two pre outs..a left and right but this dvd player has only one input. So I tried a y splitter and when I hooked that up the sub just constantly makes a noise like ba ba ba ba ba ba. Either way it just aint right. So right now I have it hooked up in the rear inputs, the only prob. with that is that I dont have the individual sub control..which I need!
Has anyone run into this problem of only having input? Whats the best solution?
Thanks for the help!

Can you post a pic of the back of the unit? I had a Dual dvd that I had hooked up and it had 6 different sets of RCAs for various addons and outputs. Id have a better idea what the problem is if I can see the wires.

Ya its just two for the front two for the rear and then one for the sub. Not too much to take a picture of its just one hook up :( I tried both sides of the rca's and either way it still does the same noise just half as loud...and with only one hooked up it only has like half the power. I would have thought a splitter would have worked but it didnt...how did you do yours Brandon? Did ya just hook up one side?

you can go and buy a home audio sub cable and run that. the reason they only have one for the sub is because subwoofers are mono so only one signal is needed.

Ya but then its still gotta plug into the amplifier for a left and a right...lol its somethin so simple but yet it baffles me

I tried turning the control up some on the radio but it just makes that constant noise louder. You say you work at a mobile audio place? Do ya'll ever run into this problem?
