Chris I'm posting my good news in your thread. Hope it's ok haha. Well my bypass worked! I grounded the mute wire and the parking brake cable again and went down the road at 50+mph with no troubles. Sorry for the hack, but I just had to share LOL

How hard was it to hook up all the wires? did you hook everything up then slide it in, or try and access it from the back. Just trying to figure out the best way to do it with my fat hands.

just look in the manual to see what color wires goto what and each indivual wire on the wiring harness you buy for the truck harness SHOULD be labeled to what they go to....

So the parking brake wire is very touchy... It needs a 12v source. My guess is the dvd player has some sort of relay inside. I have to put that wire to a switched 12v source. The reason being is because the dvd player wont play video if you just splice it in to a "12v hot" wire. It needs to be switched, like on and off. so i just bought a switch just wired it that way. oh well. I didnt think itd be this difficult lol

you can wire the e brake switch to the ground and it will play a movie any time. I had a jensen and i had to hook it to a toggle switch because you had to engage the ebrake for 5 seconds then let off for 5 sec then engage again for it to work but the one i have in my truck now i just had to wire the ebrake switch to the ground......always works...it is a double din nav unit
