Factory MP3/CD6 question
Factory MP3/CD6 question
2004 Ranger Edge + with the factory Pioneer (not Tremor) MP3/CD6 headunit.
Here is the question. I have burned and played simple mp3 cd's without any issues. Simple CD being defined as no text, single level directory, closed the media. Does this radio support multi-directory structure? Meaning, I just burned an MP3 disc with 7 different directories/folders, and all of the embedded text (song/artist/album/blah blah).
My Honda, with factory headunit, recognizes the CD, and plays and navigates the directory structure without any problems. It also displays the embedded text.
The factory unit in the Ranger will only recognize and play the songs in the first directory/folder. It will not display any text, and I cannot get it to change to another folder/directory. Now....am I just bug dummy and missing something obvious, or is there a trick to this? I didn't try any weird burning tricks, standard CD-R, and the disc is closed. Any ideas?

Got it! Thanks.
Personally I think the directory skipping is a bit clumsy, so I just turned on the flat-file option and was did away with the entire directory thing.
Text seems to work fine as well.

i tryed the Dir ting on my MP3 CD's and i didnt like it i just put them in Alphabetical order. I works mutch better. And the Dir doesnt have text only the files do so it makes it even that mutch harder and mor confusing
