I was also thinkin of only 1 10" behind the passenger.
umm i think it's about 4 inches or so from the rear glass. i had my seat the same way before i threw the subs in there but i got used to it. i mean, hey, a little better posture can never hurt ya haha.
if you just go with one 10, you could even just make a long skinny box and you wouldn't have to move the seats at all. just get a good sub and a good amp to power it and it should be plenty to bump with a bunch of airspace.

that's how close my seat is to the glass. it's not so far that you can ride like a gangsta but it isn't so close you gotta drive like a grandma either. i don't think it's bad at all.
