I have someone that needs a new headunit in their 2003 mustang gt with the wonderful mach sound system. I am getting 500 different stories on how to wire up an aftermarket unit to the mach system and use the factory amps and speakers... If any of you could help, that would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I am not sure but I think there is a wiring adapter for it. Call crutchfield or check their customer support, they should be able to tell u exactly what u need.

Yea I have been lead to that, but also there might be possible re-wiring of some sort too. I replaced a headunit in a 97 cobra with the mach, but all i did was put an in-line adjustable something or another in the harness...

Edit: the p/n on the audio integration harness is 70-5519... thats the only thing i see that anyone offers. but someone told me that you have to re-wire something as well

i had the monsoon stereo in my T/A and it had a amp and stuff. I just hooked up the aftermarket head unit to the normal plug with a normal adapter and everything worked. While i know i was doing it on a Pontiac and this is a Ford id figure they wouldnt be too different in that respect.

harnesses rarely ever work for this car. When i normally do these cars i have the customer get new speakers as well and i just run new wires its less of a head ache. The mach 460 system is hands down one of the best sounding oem systems on the market today next to the harmon kardon
