I have dealt with them before, I got a rebuilt MTX sub and it was fine no problems at all. I am partial to the JL 250/1 for a great amp.

i got an L5 its 950 watt peak and its in a2.5 cu. ft box. i have it powered by a 1000 watt kenwood. This is not exagerating but my friends say it hurts there ears when i have it up all the way and my mom yells at me for shaking the windows in the house. But this is in an extended cab not single and its also an L5 not L7. So yours will be louder. I origninaly had it in the smallest recommended sealed box and it was loud. However now i have it in the largest recommended ported box and its really really loud. You will have no regrets. 1 10 of this sub powered properly is perfect for our trucks. My friend has a 12 and agrees it would be to loud in my truck cause its kinda like being in the trunk and mine is already louder than his.

try finding a 1/2 channel kicker amp as well thats 600-1200W unless you plan on putting other stuff on the amp. mine is strictly for subs and I have two channels bridged to top out at 800W... I should have gone with a 1000 2CH

yea i know a kicker rep, only thing used over is basket and magnet, new moving parts(ie: cone, voiceocil, surround)

but my friend has a kikcer L5 10 package in the sealed box from kicker, he put it in his 02 f250 quad cab and it sounded good, but it was deff not crazy, but it did sound good, today i went to a friends house and this kid from school was there, he drives an 04 tocoma quadcab, he paid a place 4000-5000$ for his system, the place overcharged him dearly, 2 L5 12s ported in a blowthrough with a kicker 1200.1 and a diff amp for door speakers, box was nice engraved kicker in it, it was loud and all, you could feel the air and got loud, but not loud enough for 4000$ when i paid 1500-2000 for mine, but i killed him, my roof moves 1/2-3/4inch up and down, my side doors flex out like 1/4 inch its crazy, he told one of my friends when i was looking for cds he was outside my car that he is gonna blow his if he keeps trying to beat me,

but the sq of kickers is not that great ported, sealed they do good , but ported they just get loud
