Indash radio in ranger

Im getting ready to sell my pioneer radio and im getting a clarion indash. The only thing is, will the screen that pops out hit the two a/c vents above the radio. If any body has any indashs, post pics. Thanks

I have an indash dvd in my 94, I just let mine hit the dash because if I pull it out so it doesn't hit the dash it looks ridiculous.
Yours is a 2000, So My setup wont help you much.

The size of the whole for the stereo, Does your truck have the big hole you need a spacer for, or is it regular sized (like 2.5" tall) I think your truck should have double din but Im not sure. The reason I ask because if your using the spacer so the stereo is in the top half of the hole, I was wondering if you could flip the spacer and see it that would help any.

Kinda like this, but put it on the bottom. Depending on where you have it now?

The stereo you have now is single Din, double din is just twice as tall. I think if your were to get a spacer that puts your headunit at the top of the hole, your screen may clear the ac vents.

Yea I agree, But since he already has a single Din he might as well make it work IMO. If my truck was double Din I would have got one of those instead of mine.

if your gettin a in dash media center, dvd player whatever you wanna call it and you have a double din it looks way better with just a big screen in your dash then a small thing that folds out and gets in the way.

i had a pioneer AVH-P6800DVD in my chevy silverado, it was a kick *** double din. i recommend it, ive had alot of others too.

oh yeah btw a "DIN" is 2", most cd decks are sized single din. a double din is 4" and 1.5 din is 3"
