just wondering if anyone on this forum has expirences with Walls?

after a local competion tonight, i wasnt happy, i knew the score was probably going to be low due to the box, i shoulda done alot more things to it and shoulda did port back not up

blah blah i got 2nd, but i lost to a friend but he has some killer skills with enclosures, he had 2 12" orion p series subs, still managed to beat a guy with 2 Solo Xs in a blowthrough in a tacoma

but i was just walking around looking at a few vehicle and noticed a couple of the suv's had walls, now i wasnt one for loosing my rearview but after hearing a guys setup before he had a wall to after a wall, holy jesus

so now im getting together with the guy that beat me and the guy with the wall i was talking about above and were walling the blazer for either the 2 MTs or 4 of something else

photoshop pics(quick job)

here is kinda how i want the back, but i want to do somethign to it to make it stand out kinda, maybe a big RE logo in the bottom middle, dont know yet

any thoughts?

edit: daily mainly, with a few comps thrown in

I wouldn't do it simply for the loss of rearview mirror. What are the benefits of a wall? Is it like a HUGE sub enclosure/amp rack?

Wall = much larger enclosure, which means you get almost infinite tuning abilities, you can run a port/vent so large, it's the depth of the thickness of the wood you used. I don't know if it would be all that beneficial in a daily driver, though.

i dont have much thoughts on what size im doing yet, thinking around 10cubes, with a good bit of port area at 30hz or so
bracing will be threaded rod or 1.25" dowels, 45s in the corners all that good stuff

im doing a hair trick if its the last thing i do... :)
