it also doesn't matter how loud you can get something if the quality isn't there.

i originally had a 15" eclipse in my truck, just the entry level one. it got really loud, but it wasn't as crisp as i wanted.

i upgraded my amp and went to a competition level eclipse titanium 15" and it made a world of difference. it prolly wasn't much "louder" but it hit so much nicer.

in my next truck, i think i'll be happy with just a couple of nice 12's. i don't need something to rattle my truck to pieces anymore. just something to add some nice bass to my music...

ok, i dont know how to multi person quote, but heres my sh!tty attempt haha.

but, thats the reason im going with 2 10's. 15's imo are wayyy to sloppy, i want tight accurate bass. and the subs i chose are pretty high quality. im running a single 12" version of them so i know what im in for. im not going w/ SPL, im shooting more for SQL, loud and yet clear

so if that crappy meter is reading 140, its really only about 104. i heard that sounds over 100db can permanantly destroy your hearing, and the 140 i was kinda freaked out, i do not want to be def but i enjoy loud music so when the time to rock out comes about...i tried to be considerate of my future. so i really dont need to be too conserned?

get an account with cardomain or photobucket its free!!, load your photos on there, then open the photo in a new window, copy the link txt and click on the mountain icon when you post a reply and paste the txt in there and it should come up as [IMG] link [IMG] and then clicky submit reply and your done! hope that helps.

Fernando, what's with the tape around the subs in the first pic?? cosmetic purposes?? or is there a reason for it?

to help seal the area around the sub and dampen any "white noise" or foreign readings on the termlab.

I've seen this done on a sony xplod and powered it with 4000w in a ported box... some pretty neat stuff, but it only lasted about 3 cycles and blew lol, that was after hitting in the 140s.
