i want to get a sub and enclosure and a amp for my 2 door 1998 ranger any ideas on what to get?

can i hook a sub up to a stock head unit?

 

You can do it two ways. One you can grab sound from your rear speakers and run them to the amp since some amps have speaker level inputs or you can use a converter box at the back of the headunit to give you some RCA outputs. I suggest going with an aftermarket headunit because the sound will be way better.
