My brother and I finished this box up over winter break, it's 1.8ft.^3 tuned to 32Hz. I've got a JBL bp600.1 powering it...

i have no rear speakers, u dont need um so i turned them off, my rainbows do nice :)

Man gotta love RE

if i had something that did videos besides my RAZR i would get em, the quarters stayeds there a while witht he bass on yours, they would be gone after a bass hit with mine, the quarters bounce on my seat

but u should of gotten a video of the sub, i remember my old SX i had that thing was good for a 12 and 1200rms that thing would move too more than i thought
The MT dosent even move on volume less than 10, but yet the bass is pretty loud, if u look at it might be moving a total of 1mm but u can feel it up front, at full tilt its crazy

for some reason this brings back memories, i remember when i went to circuit city one time and thought a 600rms amp was crazy and that i would never have one and that audio bahn was cool...i feel ashamed now

that guy that worked there tried to act as if they were crazy and the sad part is i think he actually though they were

You have to order them directly from RE, or buy one used...

those w6's are bad news, but i had to get rid of one due to lack of a back seat and the amount of power it takes to use them just drains my battery. Those subs actually vibrated my dome light off.

hey Kyle ( bamaboy)

is more excursion better on a sub? I never really thought about it. or is it better to obtain as much bass with as little excursion?

the more excursion the more the sub will be able to move in and out which will move more air which is what SPL is..i think..correct me if im wrong...

most exc. is measured in one way distance..i think..im stil learnin so i might be wrong somebody back that up

depends on what you want, you will never see any high xmax spl subs because you dont need high xmax for high spl

for example no one really knows the MT's xmaxbut it sure isnt like the XXX's yet the MT is way louder a guy went from a 18 XXX to a 15 MT and MT was still louder
i went from a 15XXX to a 18MT and it was crazy louder

more xmax would help have better lows but thats about it in a ported box, now seled is different xmax come in effect a lil more for a seled box more xmax is a good thing to have

but yea more xmax can displace more air but it dosent mean it will be any louder, i like less xmax because then my roof dosent move as much for it to be louder, my roof kills me i need to wedge a 2x4 under it so it dosent move up and down

but yea aslong as its not some dinky xmax number its alright

exampples (i think these are right on some of these)
kicker L7-13mm 1 way
RE SE 19mm 1 way
RE SX 20-21mm 1 way
RE XXX 32mm 1 way
sony P5 thingy 9mm 1 way
alpine type r 18mm i believe

thats just some i know off the top of my head, but yet L7s can still get loud louder than a SE

if he had 2 SEs im pretty sure the SE's would win, W6's are more sq subs but im sure they do get loud and sound good

if the power it takes to run a W6 drains your battery, there are deeper problems somewhere either you need a new battery or a new alternator

if you have a big system over 2000rms an alternator is a must pretty much, with everything im running 2 A3000s strapped, the the amp for the rainbows, HU everything else for the truck (High output alt, regular battery up front and a optima blue top in the back(same as yellow) i get ZERO dimming people alaways ask why they have dimming and i dont but then i try to tell them what to do and they say they dont care

i know for a fact that a L7 "should" be louer than a SE, SE is 600rms and more towards SQ than SPL, L7 is more of an SPl sub with different rms, but an SE would be louder than a L7 both in a sealed box, but SE will sound really good either box and still get loud

now i killed this guy that had 2 L5's in a blowthrough in a tacoma, running on a kicker 1200, i was running 1 XXX 15 in 4.5 cu ft @32hz on a A3000, the XXX was a beast and the Mt is even louder

if you want hardcore bass i want to see someone put a MT 12 or 10 and 2000-3000rms in a ranger, that would be crazy

but yea get the XXX>L7 but to get the goods out of the XXX at least 1200rms and up to 2000

But Check this...

if i run 2000 Watts wouldnt a 200 AMp alterntor not do the goods..and 200 is the biggest i can find direct placement...

you think 1500 watts on an MT would do it..
