tweets in the center console? who's done it?
so im picking up my fx4 seats and center console tomorrow. wondering if anyone has put some tweeters on each side of the console??
or am i just stupid for thinking this might be kinda cool? lol
i already have focals all the way around in the cab and a 10" jl sub and amp
would this be overkill? haha
if you have done this i want pics!!!!!

I think that while the more direct path of the tweeters would sound good,
I think it will throw off your sound stage and might sound funky..
you will basically be turning your stereo into a mono. good stereo separation key to a good sounding system.
if you don't have any means of processing the audio signal (timedelay) then its always best to mount the tweets as close to the mid range speakers as possible. at least have the tweeters and mid on the same plain. so that the sound from all of the speakers hit your ear at the same time.
while the a-pillars have a good direct path to your ears, they are very different distances from your ears. drivers side tweet will be much brighter and louder then the right side. The tweets also tend to reflect off of the glass of the windshield and side windows. this can cause harshness.
If you need more highs I think you need to work on different parts of your system.
four tweeters should be enough for anyone's ears to bleed.

honestly i don't remember what sub it is. it was just a preloaded box from car toys with the amp sunk into the box. its like 250 amps. i bought it for my old zx2 because i got so tires of my two JBL 12's witha massive ported box lol.
the system sounds sooooo clean in my truck though
