The 'rwenzing' of satellite radio?!
The 'rwenzing' of satellite radio?!
Bob, consider this payback for the 'thousand cool points' bit!
I recently discovered that yes, the Internet does have a forum for just about everything. I recently have been stressing over trying to find the perfect Sirius set for my very picky GF. Well in my search for dirt on varrious models I found a site called siriusbackstage.com. I think it might actually be run by Sirius itself, but it's kind of a fan page. There is some decent info about individual receiver models. At any rate, in my searches I came across a guy that goes by 'ekeefe'. I very quickly discovered that like your friend 'rwenzing', he seems to be quite a inquizitive guy and has done several very interesting .. 'projects' w/ his satellite radio sets. Reading his posts I instantly thought of Bob.
He links some stuff to a similar site for XM people. Looks like he started there and just moved to Sirius stuff. One link (I can't find it now) showed a home-brew, rackmount XM receiver he built. Very cool stuff.
At any rate, enjoy..

- Adding a USB 2.0 Interface
- Homebrew Sirius PCR or PC controled receiver
- Adding an optical audio output
- A failed attempt to use an XM repeater for Sirius
