Second Skin dampener?
Second Skin dampener?
Has anyone used Second Skin dampener? Dynamat is so friggen expensive up here that I'm not even going to bother with it.
I can get 36 sq ft of it for $190 or so from a local reseller here, Dynamat is is $375 or so for the same square footage.
I can cover my truck twice with the Second Skin for the cost of one layer of Dynamat (more or less...)
It also uses a butyl binder like Dynamat does.
Anyone tried it? I was in a car with raammat or something on a hot day and it stunk like asphalt, so I don't want to use it on my truck.

Check out a company called B-quiet http://www.b-quiet.com/
They are located in quebec I believe. Really great stuff. Used it myself on my first car.

It looks like both B-Quiet and FatMat use asphalt. I don't really want to risk that smell in my truck.
I guess I'll give Second Skin a try, although not for a few more paycheques... I'm broke. :(
