Some "low end" opinions please....

I'm looking at getting http://www.supercrewsound.com/shop/detail/11/80.htm that box.

Just wondering some opinions on the sub I should get

Mounting depth is 9.25"

I was thinking type r again, b/c I'm happy with performance and the price. I am just going to run an orion 1200d...but I'm unsure if it will fit.

Also, I'm unsure if I want to do a 10 or a 12...I'm leaning towards the 12 a lot.

I'm looking for major SQ, nothing loud at all. So if anyone has any experience with this box or a similar LMK...

Brands I'm liking:

memphis
re audio (probably re 12" sx) I'll just buy used from ca.com
alpine (i like the ones i have now, but sealed i'm not that big of a fan)
adire
treo ssi's (love em)
edit: I also like polk audio too...

good luck at finding an Adire, they halted production on the Brahma's...

A pair of the Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1s will handle 1500 watts... my friend corey had them in his civic, and the boxes weren't secured becuase we built them overnight and they would jump around during the sweeps in "Kalifornia" on the The Crystal Method Community Service 2 CD...

I never really got to "listen" to them, cuase they were in his car but they sounded pretty clean even though they weren't broken in yet.

I like the polks, but I probably won't have subs again for a long time...I got other plans (it has a y, z, and f in it and the numbers 450 )

I have 2 MBQuart Reference 12's, and the SQ on them is amazing. They play tones from 15htz + (which they ARE rated at and they don't lie!). I played a BassMechanik cd the other day in mine and RudemAn85's truck to compare (he has a 12" RE SX, sealed enclosure), I have the 2 MB 12's, sealed enclosure, and his SX didn't even produce any audible sounds until about 25htz. The SX sounds great playing regular songs, but I absolutely love my MB subs, he even said they have a superb SQ to them as compared to his SX.
I am running my subs with a SoundStream amp at 800rms @ 4ohms to the subs and it definately overpowers them with flying colors. The subs get loud too for the size and power rating of them.
Both me and RudemAn85 have our truck cabs TOTALLY sound deadened, which also helps out 500% with the sound.

Quest15210 - your 4 10's were probably the Discus model, I haven't heard any other MB subs but mine are great, especially for the low power they are!
