old school amps from 80's and early 90's always did rated power or more, at 12v. now only the high cost high end amps of today will do rated wattage or more.

US acoustics amps from the 90's are desigined to output 20%+ over the listed specs. same with any amp engineered by Zed Audio, which number in the hundreds.. sorry I cannot provide exact numbers but i doubt many here can. may want to look into posting this on a mobile audio forum. then reporting back here.

There's a lot of companies out there that produce amps that do rated power or close to it.

my alpine mrx m100 is tested at 1052w @14.4v.
all alpine amps have to pass their rated wattage to be sold.

HFi series from Hifonics, my HFi1000.1D makes just under the rated RMS@ohm. It makes so close to 1k it's ridiculous, I'm running it a 2ohms and play it full tilt for a half hour to and from work everyday, thing barely heats up.

Paid $135 for it, best class D for the price IMO.

I'll be sticking with Hifonics for power after buying this bad boy.

I paid $225 for my MB Quart DSC2000.1d and it does 2k@1, 1k@2, and 500@4. Friend of mine bought an Audiopipe(for all of your AP haters) that he clamped at 3k@2 on 14v.

There is a big difference between what a amplifier draws and what an amplifier outputs.

Example a class a class a amplifier would draw 100w but only output around 30-40 percent of that.
A class ab amp draws 100w only about 50-60% of that is actually output into the speaker
Where as a higher efficiency 100w class d would put around 80% of the 100w into the speaker.
musical power vs clipped power is whole other story.

numbers posted above are quite rounded so I doubt that they are actual.
