Sub and Amp combo

Hey all,

I want to install a sub and amp in my truck. It's a 2010 Ext. cab Ranger.

I don't really have the time to build my own enclosure, so I will probably go with a pre-built sub and box. I don't really need a top of the line system, just something to give my songs a bit more kick.

I've been looking at this loaded box:
Kicker 10" Sub

I was thinking about getting this amp to go with the sub:
Alpine MRP-M500

In the truck, I currently have a Kenwood KDC-X794 and 4 x Alpine Type-S SPS speakers

Also, I'll be getting this wiring kit:
Crutchfield Streetwire kit
Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks,
Frank

Hey Frank,

I am in the same boat as you. From the research I did I am thinking of getting this: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...-11PES10C.html this seems similar to what you are looking at its just already put together. I like this because if I need more space in the cab then I can just do a quick disconnect and its out.

Rob.

It makes sense if you need the space to get a powered box like that. I'd shop around though to try and find it cheaper. Try ebay or go to Crutchfield.ca see if you can find it for less.

Why spend $500 on that when you could build something much better for cheaper?

Yeah the mrp m500 is a great amp for its size. I highly recommend that one.
