Sub problems
ive got a memphis audio 12" sub, tma 200 watt amp in my truck
and outa no where, after working fine in one truck for 3 years and fine in my new truck for 2 months
The sub suddenly started acting up, randomly popping real loud, on its own, like a short in one of the coax's or something
I mean I could have the deck turned all the way down, and the sub will still very randomly THUMP outa no where
I have traced all my wires, and everything still seems good, no bare spots no raw spots
Checked my grounds for the audio equipment and they seem fine BUT, one thing I noticed is ive been getting shocked a lot getting outa the truck lately, and ive got the amp just grounded to the cab? Whats the possibility of a cab ground being bad? and where would it be located on a 2003 ford ranger reg cab xl
also, What other ideas do you guys have to solve this problem?

Reg cab, I'll move the ground to under the seat and see if that fixes, it anyone know what size torx the newer ranger seats are?
and ive checked the rca's but that doesnt mean theres not a short in one somewhere, May just have to break down and replace them if moving the ground doesn't do it
Was driving tonight and with the deck turned all the down, I could hear almost every move the suspension made..THROUGH MY SUB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not Fun!

for the last month or so ive also been getting a shock off the door getting out of my cab, i guess its possible for a wire to get pinched someplace causing a short, ive had my floor trim out of the cab and thats where i run all my wire for my audio so i imagine ive just pinched something. i dont get any audio signs of it but i would check your speaker wires and see if something is pinched up on the floor, i expect around a trim clip
