What kind of radio and amp..etc..:)

Ok, so when I purchased my Edge the previous owner left Kicker speakers in it. (I forgot what size, haven't looked at them in awhile) They were disconnected when I bought it and obviously the person had a system. So I was under the impression that they're pretty good speakers, therefore my stock radio sounds like crap with them so what kind of radio should I replace it with? ALSO, I'm guessing I need an amp, so it would be great if I knew what kind, so all you stereo people out there help me out :)

i would say they are a 3 way speakers......if they are, you need a 4 channel amp....and more than likely an amp with no more RMS power than 50.....

Do you have the stock headunit? If so that has to go first before you get anything else. I think it sounds like you do.

If thats the case do some research on Crutchfield and get what will suit you the most. Then like everyone else has said, get a little 50 watts RMS amp and your set. One question tho. Do you have just one set of kicker speakers, or two sets?

no it doesn't.....if he is going to be running an aftermarket 4 channel amp, he can use the 4 speaker leads out of the back of the stereo to go into a low level input on a amp.....that way he will have a stock headunit (if it is a GOOD one, like a CD6/mp3 player...)and no suspecting theft will happen because they think the system is stock...

even with a decent head unit, with some decent speakers in the doors and back you can still have good sounding music, you dont have to get the best in the business to get good sounding speakers

Im just saying if he wants the most out of his speakers and his amp. he should look into an aftermarket h/u.

running it that way would actually be the high input, not low... just thought i would clarify that... but ya you could easily run the speakers with an amp and stock head unit
