Ok well my damn head unit decided to take a dump so now im debating between 2. Tell me what ones ya like!?

What # cd player is this for you!?!?!?! haha, i would get an alpine....unless your set on pioneers, then get the 2nd one, thats what i was gooing to get because i like the screen savers, but i love my alpine now

My brother has the 860MP and it is awesome, I would go for it. he used it for competition stereo in his Explorer. He uses it and JL Audio XR components all around, all JL amps, and 3 JL 15W6 subwoofers.

come on people just anwer his question. Pioneer headunits are just as good [better] the alpine, eclipse, etc. If you think there is a better deal, post it. Dont say "they both suck" theat being said... Number TWO!

Yeah if you fried one pioneer without even doing anything stupid to it, why would you want another one?

Yeah, my last pinto exploded when I pulled out of my driveway, so I got another one. But this one is blue and not white!

IMO i say the DEH-P9600MP is probably better. i wish i had money coming out the ying-yang to be able to afford that.

 

i like that too. but the display doesnt always stay open . the slide plate will cover it up after the cd id put in.

 

I've always had pioneer and I'd stick with that. I have heard alot of things about a recent batch of alpines being all messed up and recalled or something. I have heard that eclipse work quite well, but I think they look hideous.

Sony's always burn up, just like that, though it usually takes 9 months to a year. I'd go with pioneer but I don't really like either of those two, but #2 is the bestof the choices

 

the thing with the alpines is over with.. it was their first batch that was messed up.. that was many months ago, so they're all good now. and yes, eclipse's aren't lookers.. if your going to waste your money on a headunit.. you'll pick one or the other... power and performance, or pretty pointless little displays and cool looking buttons and little blinky lights, etc., that will be outdated by the following season.

audio is one area that i would never spend money on something because it looked cooler than it's competitors. then again.. for most people, they dont care that much, so, whatever makes you happy, i guess stay with it.
