What's a good amp?

Just got a new Kicker 10" from another member here. 600 peak, 300 RMS, 2 Ohm. Now I need to get some power to it. I already did a search, and got about 15 pages with the word "Amp" or "Amplifier" in it. Don't really have the time nor the inclination to look through all of that! Just need a few suggestions.

I'm not looking to blow out my windows (too old for that now), just wanted to gain some better bass and low end. I'm a Country/Classic Rock guy...none of that BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM stuff here.

While I'm at it, I was thinking about hooking up my four existing speakers to the new amp. Can that be done, or do I need a second amp for that?

Thanks guys!

I've heard some good things about Rockford Fosgate. Anyone have any experience (good or bad) with one of those?

i fell in love with JL after my buddy got a W7 and powered off a little JL 250 rms x1 amp. its pounds for such a small amp. we hooked up my jank volvenhag 400watt rms amp and it sounded like it was only getting like 1-200 watts.

so im very fond of JL after that. everything i've had of fosgate was diffinately not worth what its priced at.

I've had two of the punch series amps and they both were awesome. I am currently using the p6001 to push my JL w6v2 and it sounds amazing.

go with the baby belle...from memphis... or actually called the mch600. its a five channel that will allow you to run your sub and your doors off the same amp. definately more than $50 but well worth it.

you can find info look under amplifiers

JL amps are over priced but nice. Be prepared to pay for one. Not a bg fan of Rockford again overpriced a little bit for what they are. All you need is a mono amp if you like country etc. The door speakers that you are probably using wont need an amp. Look at Hifonics also. I would say Hifonics, JL, belle, Kicker. Brands to stay away from are Sony, Volfenhag, walmart stuff, etc. Use common sense.

Alright, you guys convinced me. That Boss looked good for about a minute and a half until I read some reviews on them...total crap. Think I'm gonna go with a Kicker ZX300 I found on ebay, 95 bucks...not bad. Should do what I need it to.

Thanks for all the help guys!

It had better not be a re-man. The listing specifically stated "Brand New". Is there a way to find out if it is a re-man when it gets here? Already bought it.

no thats the new one, but most kicker amps have 18db bass boost and that one has 12, i had the 200 watt version of it and had 18dbs and it was the same kinda of amp....now thats wierd...try it, but as a rule that u already stated, its always better to over power the sub so the amp does not have to work as hard
