SIRIUS Satellite Radio - Sirius Radio Activation, Activate Sirius Radio, Sirius Satellite Radio Activation

the magnet antenna is right above the third brake light.

KLC 10-11-2010 07:02 PM

Mine is factory, but I would mount one on the roof by the door. You can hide the wire behind the weatherstripping.

yea that 2010 had it factory it would be awsome to use a factory antenna but for the price i find them for ill just use the sirius one in the package plus drilling a big hole in my roof would be scary

Ran mine along the passenger side under the floorliner and up throughout the back panel and through the headliner and out the third brakelight

trextegra 10-13-2010 06:46 PM

ran mine up the passenger a piller up threw the headliner and out the 3rd brake light, its a magnetic mount spaced it away fromt he light with the little plastic molding it comes with

klc317 10-13-2010 07:01 PM

It doesn't have to be outside. You can tuck it in the corner of the dash next to the A-pillar and hide the cable from there. Picks up just fine there too. Just be very careful not to kink the or scafe-up the cable...it's a goner if that happens.

trextegra 10-13-2010 07:26 PM

it will work inside klc but nowhere nears as good espeically in tree covered areas are cities with high buildings

fishy2k8 10-13-2010 08:19 PM

I run mine in the corner of the dash and it's fine

offroadn_redneck 10-13-2010 08:54 PM

Id run it up the pillar, under the headliner, and out the 3rd brake light. Ive already had to run new wires to the bed lights that way and its a piece of cake.

DeepSouthRanger 10-13-2010 09:32 PM

Also out the third brake light...

trextegra 10-14-2010 01:27 PM

these guys telling him to put it on the dash.... thats just plain rubbish in the instructions they tell you not too hes asking for the right way to do it so he doesnt look like a hack like you guys

mines going on the roof for sure just not sure yet if im going to run in the windshield molding or into the 3rd brake light

trextegra 10-14-2010 03:49 PM

threw the windshield molding would be rediculously hard and would prolly make it leak it was really easy going threw the 3rd brake like plus its got a little gasket on it so no leaks just to be safe i put some silicon on the light before reinstalling it pretty sure it didnt need it and it was over kill but id rather be safe than sorry after all the hard work i put into my sub box i would hate to have a leak and blow out the mdf

it doesnt go threw the windshield molding just tucks into it down to the corner of the fender

trextegra 10-14-2010 05:15 PM

indeed i was hoping thats what you were saying lol but still 3rd brake light is definatly the easiest/cleanest

ranger dad 10-16-2010 05:05 AM

I put my antenna on the drivers side of the cowl by the windshield wiper arm. Only problem I have had so far is I had to clean the 20 inches of snow that we got from one snow storm as I couldn't get any signal thru the snow. The antenna wire comes around the A-pillar on the outside to the inside and up the A-pillar behind the plastic cover across the headliner to my radio. I used about 3 feet of the 20 feet of cord they give you. Worked really slick and after a year and a half, still have no marks on the wire where the door seal hits it.

silverfox 10-16-2010 08:23 AM

well i got the kit in the mail last night ill be installing it here in a little bit lets see how it turns out

trextegra 10-17-2010 01:24 AM

yea ranger dad pretty much were ever i put my ant.. in all three vehicles ive had sat. radio even with 2-3 inches i would have to clean it off or else reception would be spotty
