White Tornado CB amp

I have a 225 White Tornado CB amp. I have not heard anything bout them. Does anyone know anything bout them? It has Low/Med/High power settings, and it also has a thing called pre-amp. Does anyone know what the pre-amp setting is for?

I might be wrong, but the pre-amp is to bring the signal in. any idea how many watts it is?

Generally, a "pre-amplifier" is something that boosts the received signal. It can help make weak signals sound better but remember you can't amplify something that isn't there to begin with. As for the output watts, I would be willing to bet that 225 in the model number came to be for a reason.

Do not use pre-amp near the other sender...it can fry yours if you bring the signal in too strong.
