who can repair a broken kicker amp cheap?

who can repair a broken kicker amp cheap?

i know if i send it to kicker they will fix it but it will be expensive. who else can do it?

I would just send it in to Kicker. They can diagnose the problem and fix it instead of replacing a bunch of crap until it works.

i know around here pawn shops that sell alot of audio equipment will fix them...i had an old rf punch 45 that was blown and i brought it to a pawn shop to get it repaired

There was a guy on ebay that had an amp repair/diagnostic service.
I think he charged about $20 to diagnose problem & depending on what was wrong, about $50 to repair it. You had to ship it to him & pay to ship it back though.

I never sent him any amps to work on, but to do a "worst case scenario" repair on an old amp I had, he wanted $60 (plus shipping both ways). I only gave $150 for the amp 15 years ago & I just put it back in the box in the attic.

Rockford charges $125 to repair their amps that were made in the last several years, I'd guess Kicker would charge about the same. They'd probably give you a warranty for 90 days or something too... not to mention they would have the knowledge & parts to fix it right.
