Icon8 Bird craping on DSG!!!

I recently bought my 05 DSG FX4 and I have a problem at work-a bird keeps taking a crap on it! There are no power lines around, but I believe the bird is sitting on my mirrors by the looks of the crap piled up on them at the end of the day. I parked my old silver 97 in the same two spots all the time & never had this problem. I assume it's something with this darker metallic color the bird is attracted too. Is there anything I can spray (maybe a scent?) that would keep the bird away. I don't want to change parking spots, because these are the only two that keep the door dings away...UGH!! Suggestions?

It might be a long shot but maybe you should try folding in your mirrors. I do that so stupid drivers don't smash into them. It might be harder for the bird to sit on them......

.....or you can just buy a sling shot.

Interesting guys. I guess I'll try folding in the mirrors. I wonder why it was never interested in the silver 97?

I had the same issue with my DSG. Never thought it was the color though but you might be on to something. They never crapped on any of my other cars that I parked in the same space. Wierd.

Get some of these and cut them down to your mirror size, they are bird retardant spikes for house windows. LOL

I folded in the mirror today, but it still didn't work. A co-worker suggested taking on of those mouse glue traps & folding duc tape over itself to tape it to the top of the mirror. If the bird gets stuck on that, I should be able to "take care" of him.

I had the same problem with my Sonic Blue truck. What i ended up doing was buying those hair net things and putting them over the mirrors before i went into work. Worked great.

I have the same problem, the bird is looking at himself/herself in the mirror, birds are vain too.
Birds are attracted to each other by looks and sound,so while looking at itself it in a mirror or glass it see's a good looking bird.
It's breeding season so killing the bird isnt a 100% solution to the problem.

Great if you can jump off the couch every so often, but for those that work or are sleeping then what do you do?? I noticed that my grey truck usually gets **** on while I'm driving on the freeway. I don't park outside when I'm home. I think it depends on the location. We have poles here, but if a particular bird or flock is used to spending time somewhere and has to relieve itself, then what??
