Go to canadian tire or something of the likes, and pick up a $30 airsoft gun and chase the cat with one of those. Get him with a few pellets and he won't go back. My 2 cats would run up and down my truck till I got one of those guns.

I'd say Airsoft too. It'll think that somehow the truck is doing it and stop going near it, aslong as it doesnt see you shooting at it. Also, try not to hit the paint!

I found my sister's cat inside my truck once while I was cleaning the truck out. I grabbed the cat from the passenger seat, slammed it up against the side of the truck and kicked it across the yard...

won't go near me or the truck anymore...

hahahhahahahahahhahahaha!!!

The correct answer to your problem is Citrus... Cats HATE citrus. So, I reccomend perhaps some limes or lemons and oranges, throw a couple slices on the ground around where you park... Its the actual only humane way of keeping it off your truck

My cat always sits on my tires...

I like the citrus idea. Sounds sane when compared to the other ideas.

Ok I admit, the anti-freeze idea sounds good too...:D

set up a little motion detector thingy in your truck, and when the cat sets it off have like...a loud dog bark come out of your PA system, or those flashing disco lights from your windshield...just dont drive around with it on:)

The cat wont scratch the paint... retractable claws.
The T cover, if it is soft may get some damage but try these
1} wet the cover.. cats don't like water to much
2} place catnip near but not on your truck
3} Spray the cover with strong vinegar solution
4} The citrus thing works well too, actually maybe try a combination of 3+4
Put please don't hurt the cat...I am a veterinarian, and i see too many animals that are poisioned, for acting the way nature intended.

lol..some of your guy's responses were too damn funny haha, I started laughin hella loud when I read some of them

I sometimes see paw prints on my hood when I leave to work in the morning, its a truck man...and a Ranger at that...its no ferarri...I mean, yea, we'd all like to keep our Rangers oh so pretty but its not gonna happen. The cat isnt going to harm anything unless you run out there yelling at it...then it might leave some scratches on the hood...otherwise, I wouldnt bother doing a damn thing about it..no point in harming the cat though..thats just f*cked up -_-

My truck is a Ferarri Ranger!!! I have scratches from cats pulling some Jackie Chan stunts on it... I swear it looks like they are doin some kind of dance on the hood and bed cover. They do(most of the time) buff out, but its just the principal, stay off the freakin truck!!!!!!!!!!! I sit and wait on them to walk near it, hit the panic button on my remote, and no more kitty prints!!! It actually works very well, or you could scare the cat and chase it for 10 minutes growling and snarling just for it to return and crap on the hood for revenge. Cats are very mischevious, you can punt them, hit them, shoot them, or whatever else you may feel necessary at the time, only to find a nice pile of cat shiznit in you shoe later...

Not a real cat! It was a public service announcement about the dangers of leaving those fancy automatic sunroofs open. The ones tha automatically shut when it rains. It was by Ford and in Poor taste, in my opinion, but it got the message across didn't it.

Let the thread die people!

They do have cat repellant, they call them dogs...
Get a motion light, and rig it to a recording of dogs barking...
