dog puked in my truck

i just came from the vet and before i got home my dog puked on my friend but most of the puke was on the door, and floor on the truck.

i cleaned it all out with soap and water and vaccumed the truck.

now i need something to make the truck smell good.
the truck doesn't smell right now.

should i buy febreze(spelling) and put it on where the puke was?

should i get one of those car air fresheners?

Actually, most vets have really good odor removers. We have sprays and liquid forms in our clinic. They HAVE to be good.... tomcat urine is THE worst smell ever and is SOOOOO hard to get rid of.

nope... I use the regular febreze from my house and it works great... you should probably scrub the carpet with something (carpet cleaner) or whatever, then spray...

i used vacum free (arm & hammer) for the carpet. i did scrub.
and then put febreze on hope that does the trick.

probably not. i clean carpets for a living. The reason it will not work is because the arm and hammer only gets so far down into the carpet. the dog puke went down to the backing. Hince it needs to be cleaned and rinsed very good to get everything out of there. I once cleaned the remains of deer meat forgot and left in the truck for the whole weekend. Yes fixed the putrid odor from that. Plain and simple. Look thru the phone book and pick a carpet cleaner that uses hot water extraction method and truck mounted machines. that will take care of it forever. btw should only run around 50 dollars to get the whole truck done.
