when you spend the better part of an afternoon detailing and it rains 2 minutes afterwards? I kid you not. I came home and decided to give 'er a bath. Mr Clean spray washed it, scrubbed all the dirt off. Let it dry and then Meguiar cleaning was, remove, Meguiar NXT tech wax, remove. some pro glass cleaner/anti fog, and then boom. raindrops. didnt even get to armor all it and vacuum.

oh yeah. and the real kicker, I'm headed to the movies tonight and the first 2 miles of my road are dirt.

basically winter washes are just so that i dont have to spend as much time when it warms up....

well, it's better to get rained on a clean car than a dirty car.. but sucks about the dirt road. maybe go to another theater .. or hope the movie's well worth it

Solution....

Quit washing the truck so often/meticulously if you live on a dirt road. Duh!

I havent washed it in two weeks for this reason. Ive been waiting for it to rain. Finally figured what they hay, just get it over with. I discovered however, if you go 5 mph....it doesn't toss lots of mud. Then i realized that i'm going to the boonies to visit my mom tomorrow and i'll be covered in mud by the return trip. So alas, I R dirty again.

I hate it when that happens...Oh well tho...at least she looks good and is clean and i know theres no salt just setting on it eating at the paint

This is why you check the weather forcast before you wash it! I dont wash mine unless its going to be sunny for more than like 3 days.

well hell, i would never wash my truck then. ive been waiting for about 2 weeks. and even if i check the forecast and it says it gonna be sunny out for x amount of days, i go out and wash my truck and it rains. i swear i could end a drought in a desert just by washing my truck there. lol.

lol ok so heres how much i hate salt... i went up to see my dad at work and he was washing his truck, so we hosed down my truck and i went over it real fast with the brush just to get the salt off... well we were talking for a little bit and my truck started drying white because there was so much salt that even soapy water couldnt get it all off without scrubbing it really hard...
