It was easy. I disconnected the battery, covered alternator and power dist box. Then sprayed the degreaser everywhere, let it sit for 10 minutes and rinsed with a garden hose. After that I blew everything off with compressed air then towel dried. With the compressed air you need to do it with light pressure to be safe. Then after it was all dry, I uncovered everything then I sprayed the CD-2. The only thing to avoid with the CD-2 is the belt according to the instructions.

lol... i opened the thread, and for a moment, only the first pic loaded... i looked at it and was like..... that doesn't look so great, mine looks like that, lol.
but wow that looks brand new in the second pic!!!
i heard when you have your car appraised at a dealer, one thing they like to check is stuff like that.... if it looks spotless like you've got, i guess they know you really do like to take care of your things. if i ever go to trade mine in, i'll def. do that job first.

Heres a pic of what the can of this stuff looks like. It is a hard find at local parts stores. They seemed to yank it off the shelves almost everywhere for whatever reason I don`t know. I finally found it at Murrays. $7 per can. You can order it from www.amazon.com or google it. I know autozone has a similar product from black magic but I don`t know how good the results are.

looks pretty dang good Mike
but i think unhooking the battery and covering that box is too much hassle.
i pressure wash mine at the car wash normally once a month... i dont unhook anything.
just dont blast the electronics. if noone believes me ask Evan (rangererv) or Bill (04lvl2) i cleaned both of theirs...

when i clean engines at my work i crank it up spray it off...then turn it off spray degreaser on them let it sit for 15 mins or so then crank it back up spray it all off then close the hood n let it dry. so by time im done washin the car/truck i go over the engine with detail spray and it works great. i have never had n issue but with my own jeep. water gets sucked up into my intake n makes my jeep run like crap
