Haze issues - how to get rid of it
Hey guys, I have a Caman Green Ranger, but I also own a black honda and a blue bmw and they have this darn haze all over them!
The Ranger doesn't show it because of that perty color, but the dark ones show it really bad.
I haven't figured out a way to get this haze off and a deep shine on.
Any tips? I've been using an actual car wash soap and a claybar and McGuires Gold (sp).
hhheeelllppp
Plus, I'm trying to pretty up the honda so I can sell it.

There is a rough feel until I clay bar the paint, then it's nice and smooth. BUT...it still has that haze.
I waxed it last night with McGuires Gold and that stuff is a Bi'atch to get off. I need to go lighter on the coats and build up.
I'll look into the 3M stuff too.
I'd like to get some McGuires 41, but $90.00 for a jug of stuff is alot.

haze is usually a description given when paint oxidation occurs. you probably have very very light oxidation.
use a meguiars cleaner, then polish and wax. i'd go with meguiars #80, which is a cleaner/polish. you'll probably have to get ahold of an orbital buffer if you want great results, but if you don't have access to one, you can still do it by hand. you WILL BE tired as hell if you do the whole truck by hand though... just a warning ;o)

is the haze in a swirl motion when you look at it and move around? could either be paint swirls from a previous buff job, or buffing haze, from previous buff job, or "webbing"which is when it's been buffed so many times the clear is wearing thin.
the last one may be the case, but from clay baring it so many times. How often do you clay them?
sounds like you need a cleaner/polish and then a sealant.
I wish alot more of you were closer, so my detail business could be booming

hey bud,
I want to reccomend a product not many people know of it is this
http://www.waterlesscarwashproducts....roducts_id=101
It is a product I sell, and many people on this board have used it and love it, I am willing to bet that it will help remove that haze from the truck
That 16oz bottle will do a ranger about 6-9 time so it does last quite a while, plus it is all in one step.
If you want any more info on it let me know
Also we are running a special this week as the company that makes it is sponsoring an arca race for the first time this saturday
