Headlight Lens Renewal

Only been a member of RF for a couple days and already have benefited. I read that using rubbing compound on the dull headlight lens would clear it up. I tried it today and it worked great. My 1994 Ranger headlights are brighter than they have been in years. Glad I found this site !

I have cleaned several headlights. I have used TR3 Resin Glaze you can get it at AutoZone or Pepboys. Works really well.

Glad this site has helped you out

just keep them waxed and you wont have this problem. I wax the headlights on my car, when i had it, and on my truck about 6x a year just to avoid this problem

I've used DOT3 brake fluid on an old car I was selling. Worked great! Don't use on clears or get it on the paint though.

Did you just use regular car wax when you waxed your lens on your headlights, if you used something different tell me what you used thanks

I do the same. When I wax the truck, I wax all the light lenses with the same wax. Makes it easier to keep them clean and protects them just like the paint.
