Before becoming a member i heard a bit about claybars and their benefits but pretty much shrugged my shoulder and kept walking...Since becoming a member ive read most of the topics in this forum regaurding them and decided to give it a try yesterday. Went and got the Meguirs kit and the results are AWESOME!!! The paint feels so much better, it looks deeper than ive ever seen it and the shine. WOA. Soon as i get a chance ill post pics. I guess all im trying to say is if you have never used one, DO IT. Its almost like looking at a new truck

Claybars will remove the embedded debris in your paint. Cleaner wax can not do this. A couple of guidelines to follow if you decide to clay your paint.
1.) Wash your vehicle thoroughly first.
2.) Never clay in the sun. Always in a shaded area.
3.) Use lots of lubrication. I use a quick detailer or ONR diluted.
4.) If you drop the clay, don't use it. It will get contaminated from debris off the ground. Then this will be transmitted to your paint. i.e. scratches in your paint. OUCH!!!
5.) Wash your vehicle thououghly after you clay. It will help to remove any leftover residue.

I tried to claybar my friends jeep, but i apaprently bought the wrong product or something. Sadly it wouldnt remove the water spots. I can't remember if it was claybar or I bought the wrong thing.
*fake edit* oh yah I remember it was late and I chose to show her my claybar instead of washing her jeep.

oh ya another thumbs up for claybaring im a detailer at our local ford dealer and we use clay magic my best results are using the meduim grade while spraying a quick detailer and then doing a hand wax with a liquid paste afterward and by the time u make it all the way around its dry enough to buff out and the feel of the vehicles is just fantastic i did my bosses black o7 fx2sport f-150 and it was sweet just like yalls black trucks pictured and on trade ins i've even used the clay on the headlights and it even cleaned them up as well. not sure who makes our wax and compounds but i'll found out and keep yall posted
