Cleaned frame and undercarriage by hand
Yesterday, I got home and thought it might be a good idea to wash my frame and stuff. Glad i did, it was dirty! Winter was rough on the poor thing. I parked in the yard, put a large board down and went to town. I ended up getting soaked from dripping water and laying in it...lol. I washed the frame, rear axle, front end (best i could) and underbody. All i used was Dawn, degreaser, and a scrubbrush and scrubbing pad. I didnt take any pics of before, but everything definitly came clean! Then I washed and waxed the truck. I didn't get a pic of that until today. now its raining...lol.
Didnt take many pics as i was in a hurry to beat dark. I noticed that it's time to paint my fender wells again.

it actually didn't take as long as you would think. You gotta remember, my truck is an 06 and I dont wheel it alot . if I do, its jsut through snow or sand. So it wasnt too dirty. it took me about 2 hours and I didn't get every nook and cranny, just the major stuff like frame, rearend, and suspension.

I usually do a big spring detail as soon as the weather is nice and the road salt is washed away with a few rains.
I'll hit the underbelly hard with soap and a power washer. When it's dry, I spray the whole frame and underbelly with flat black rust coat paint. Gives a nice clean new look. I'll touch some areas up before getting it oiled up in the fall.
Good rust prevention. Keep the dirt, salt, and crap out of the nooks and crannies.
