Yeah times ten million, you need atleast $1000 worth of detailing stuff to get a chevy to look ok, and that is without the garuntee. Garuntee is an extra 4000, but by then, you would need that $5000 to spend on parts. Owning a chevy is a sad thing, im sorry man. Friends don't let friends drive chevys.

once you have to buy your own stuff, it doesnt become just a wax job anymore, you want the best and then you cant stop it... Im so addicted to detailing not only my truck and my families vehicles also some of my friends and a few others... Ive prolly spent about $1200... first started out with just cleaner wax... that wasnt good enough for me, moved up to colorx and scratchx still not good enough, went into the mirror glaze line and bam! I got what I was looking for. At the same time I was trying out different waxes, Nano, mothers, Gold Class, NXT, #26, #21.... finally just landed on #26 and #21 then I wanted a better and deeper shine and grabbed a bottle of #7 and it just really made metal flakes POP.... its all about going out and testing things out and gaining from your experience from what you have learned... trust me once you start you will get hooked prolly not as bad as me but you will see.

im not huge on detailing, but i wash my truck 3 times a week, and wax about 1 time a month, after polishing my 12' lund, from the point where it was unbearable to look at, to perfect shine, took me a whole week, thats the last aluminum i will ever polish

Yeah it gets expensive quick but think how much you would pay for someone else to do a full machine polish and wax. You'll save money in the long run

If only I would have found this thread before yesterday. I was in Greensboro. My Escape could use a good wash.
