Air Filter Change

Any tips on changing air filter in 08 2.3L? Its in a tough spot not very accessilbe. thanks

Remove the whole air tube and filter box cover from the throttle plate as one piece. I have a 07 and its easier taking it off that way. Remove the 2.3 plastic cover over the throttle to keep from scratching it like I did mine.

you dont need to do all of that just pull the a/c line and the radiator vent line out of the way then reach in and unsnap it be carfull when reinstalling it the lid can rip a hole in the filter

its a tight fit and a dumb design i cant wait for someone to come out with a cold air intake kit for the 04 and up 2.3 the 01-03 ones wont work since they changed to a different style maf

It makes it just a easy keeping it together putting it back on. Keep the clamps loose at the air box to ease it around the A/C plumbing. Very dumb design....
