all 01-06 2.3L drivers post your avg mileage

Well due to all the driving I do and with the way gas is going up i'm considering trading to a 4banger ranger later this year. Gas is starting to hurt the wallet and once it's over 3.00 it'll get harder to afford it. So post up your avg mileage for me.

**for those wondering I already tried searching with no good results**

20-22 Mines on auto so my mileage is terrible for a 4 banger.

honestly i dont think it would be worth the trade, if youre going to trade for gas mileage, get a car. i would just stick with your truck, throw an efan on it, and lay off the pedal

Mike , I don't have a 2.3. But I think it would take a very long while to save back the money that you would lose trading so new a truck. I am certain that an e-fan, pulley or pulleys {full set} and 10% bigger tires [remember that the 10% won't show on your odometer] will net you better milage. I don't have a tuner but everyone who has one reports better milage. All this will net better milage and I think it would be cheaper than the couple of thousand dollar beating you would probably take trading. Not to mention the work you've already put into the truck. Good luck bob

haha Mike, don't worry. I'm getting 17-18mpg with essentially the same truck as you but with the 4.0L. If I can manage that with a 4-0 I'm sure you can do it with your 3.0. My old 3.0 Ranger was getting 25 mpg on a good day.
