Duratec power mods

First time posting here, and relatively new to the forum, if I do anything I’m not supposed to please let me know.

I’ve got a 2006 Mazda b2300 and recently cracked the block and completely rebuild the whole motor. Got it running good and have put 2,000 miles on it since. I’m really wanting some more pep and wanting to find the best and most cost effective way to do it.

I’ve heard MSDS headers and a K&N air filter help a lot but can’t find where to order the headers on the website.

I’ve also heard about tuners but frankly don’t want to mess with going to a dyno etc. if there’s tuners that have maps pre set on them that would be great, I just don’t know if that’s a thing or not.

any other ideas to squeeze some more hp out of it safely are welcome, not opposed to putting come cams in it if it’s worth it, I also don’t know if that would require a tune or not.

as the truck sits right now it can barley do 100mph in 4th gear. Not going for a speed record, just using that as a unit of how much power I’m making as it sits.

Thanks in advance, Ty

Both are a waste of money.

Has nothing to do with power, You are up against the SPEED limiter, not the REV limiter, your Mazda has a top speed set in the computer that you can't go faster than,

You might be able to find a speed/tuner shop that can raise it.

Do you know what the stock limiter is set at?

also wondering if you have any other ideas on what to do to make some more power, most people seem to speak highly of the headers and k and n air filter.

I am looking into the possibility of a Saturn Redline turbo. Has anyone tried that?
