2011 mods
Recently bought a 2011 Reg cab ranger, and love it. Needs some more power though not a lot but just a little bit. I'm not planning on doing any engine mods until 60,000 kilometers. It looks like there is little for performance modifications for this engine, unless the ford racing 2.3 dohc cylinder head for the focus will fit. Does anyone know if this will fit ? If this does then a header and exhaust would also be viable along with a larger throttle body. Does anyone know of an aftermarket larger throttle body ?
Thanks.
Thanks.

the 23ns shares the same block and head design as the 2.0 in the focus minus the vvt. the ford vvt is all in the head and not the cams so in theory yes it should bolt up fine but ive never seen or heard of it done. they sell a header and catbacks for stock rangers so idk why you'd need a focus head for that to be viable. a larger tb would only help if your going boost otherwise it would hurt a stock motor or close to stock i/h/e but they dont make them anyways so dont trip.

Is the specific head im speaking of.
Your correct on the larger throttle body. I would only think of using one if the cylinder head worked. Same with a header I dont think a header would make much difference unless the head flowed more.
In which case a tuner is the only worth while performance mod in my opinion.
