Hello to all, new guy here, bought my new to me 04 step side single cab a couple of weeks ago. Really like this truck. Have one question, When I start the truck the idle climbs to about 2k rpms, the settles to normal. Is this normal? The engine is a 2.3 with the 5 speed.

 

it depends how long the engine has been sitting and how cold it is. i guess its normal, my truck does it and its a 4.0.

 

Usually been sitting overnite, or a few hours.

 

yep, normal (im 4.0 too). mine doesnt rev quite so high but its probably normal for yours.
