1993 ranger clunk noise

Truck makes clunk noise when it is placed in drive or reverse from park.

It feels as if the transmission is dropping or moving every time.

I had transmission replaced recently and that didn't help that problem.

I heard of u joints or greasing the yoke.

Anyone can help me or had any such problems let me know..

I am not mechanic savvy. Thank you for any help.

Could be worn driveshaft U-joints.

Crawl under the truck, grab the driveshaft and twist it (that is, try to rotate it) back
and forth. There should be only a little play. If you apply enough force to one with
worn U-joints, you might hear or feel a clunk.
