2wd with the 4.0

did ford ever make any of the 01+ rangers with the 4.0 2wd and possibly a 5spd. Maybe an edge version of the 2wd? Just wondering because a friend of mine likes how mine goes and thinks a 2wd version would rip pretty well

The SOHC did come in regular cabs in 2001 only and they were pretty rare.

No. The 2001+ SOHC regular cabs have the normal (6ft?) bed.

and yeah the SOHC + 2wd is very very common: XLT, EDGE & Tremor

im not so sure the Tremor package was worth it back in the day. One of my HS classmates had(has) a Black 2003 Tremor 3.0 (basicailly mine w/ the sound system) and i paid well over 3K less for mine vs his... The stock system is cool and all to have but once i installed my $1000 sound system it destroyed the hell out of his. Only thing i saw worth it was the stock rims... but they alone arent worth the $3000+
