I have a 2wd 1992 ford ranger and i was wondering if i could take a beater 4wd ranger and put the 4wd componits of the beater truck and turn my 2wd into a 4x4. would it be worth it,or can it be done? The truck is in awesome condition it was given to me buy my uncle for a graduation pressant. i dont want to sell it cuase it would devastate him cuase it was a gift but he said i could do some work to it so i want to turn it into a reliable 4x4. so i can go hunting and fishing with my buddys and not worrie about getting stuck. so if you have ever done somthing to a ranger like this or have any knowledge about doing this, such as problems or experience, it would be much obliged. the more i know the easyer it will be :)

Easiest method would be buy a 4wd truck next would be a frame swap followed by SAS if you have fab skills.
