Guys this info below came from the tech section, but it does not say if the drive shaft can be used in a 2-wd, in other words can I swap a 4-wd drive shaft to a 2-wd? Thanks
1998 and newer 4x4 Extended Cab Rangers have a nice one-piece shaft that is a 90% bolt-in swap and will keep you free from vibrations when you're riding high.
First, locate a one-piece shaft. Anything from a 98 or newer extended cab 4x4 Ranger or Mazda B-Series will work. It doesn't matter if it's a manual or automatic transmission, but the junkyard's computers will ask, so just pick either one. Some junkyards will also ask for the distance weld-to-weld: It is 47". Some of these will be aluminum and some steel. It's a matter of preferrence or availability which you get. Just make sure whatever it is it's not dented or bent.

no, a 4x4 shaft is considerably shorter than a 2wd shaft due to the extra length of the transfer case. plus, i think 4x4 shafts bolt on from both ends, 2wd have a slip yoke.
you would need to find one from a 2wd with the same type of trans. ie, auto - auto, or manual - manual.

YES AUTO TRANS AND MANUAL TRANS MATTERS!!!!!!!
ive made that mistake twice with ranger rear driveshafts converting to a one piece...you will need a ranger rear driveshaft from a same wheelbase, engine, transmission truck
looks from your profile like you have an 06+ ranger, which already has a one piece

I apologize guys, i should have been more clear, My avatar looks like a 06 pus ranger, but it is not, it is a preface upgrade, also I know I have 1 piece shaft, lol however I was wondering is the expo shaft swappable to the ranger since I swapped a expo rear end from a 01 expo? thanks
I may be confused, but I thought the rangers flange was smaller that the expo ones, hell I don't know shoots about this stuff, that's why my old **** is on here asking you smart young fellas, lol
i understand why you are asking now. a stock ranger driveshaft will bolt directly to an explorer axle.
