32" Tires - 4.30 or 4.10s?

I have had my 32x11.50x15 BFG A/Ts on for a while.... and the lack of speed is killing me.

I'm 2WD so 4.30 is an option.

I currently have 3.55 and it's a dog, I'm starting to get used to it, but I miss my old power.

Highway I drive 80+ whenever possible, usually cruise around 85. City I can no longer drive aggressive (hurts my inner soul trying to accelerate w/ 3.55), but I prefer too.

Recommendations? Why?

4.10s since you have the 4.0 456 would be for 33s-35s

4.10 is what you need
4.56 is for 35 inch tires or taller

I agree 4.56 is too much, that is why I never asked about the 4.56.

i say 4.30's since your 2wd. gonna change gears anyhow, and 4.30's will get you thru 33's and into 35's(bearably) if you want to later on.

I am gonna say 4:10's too. From what I have read/ heard that is the best size to go with for 32-33" tires. I just bought a set of 4:10's to put in my truck next time I get tires. I also have 3:55's and don't want to lose any power.

4.10s. I have 4.10s with 33s and it isn't bad at all. You go with 4.30s then you are going to be running high RPMS down the high way

Actually, if you you want your speedo to be right on as it was stock, going from a 29.1" tire to a 31.7, you would need a 3.90 gear, thats what I plan on doing so that my OD and speed is correct. However, if you are set on the choices above, 4.10.......

4.10 with 32" tires? I've got 26" tires with about 3.90 gearing (an inch smaller than the factory tires). wow

4.30. The SOHC needs RPMs. I hate 4.10 and 33s.

actually in his truck, and any other truck that the VSS gets its signal from the ring gear, changing gears will have no effect on the speedo reading.

changin tires will effect the speedo.

Tough decisions. Posted this on R-F, ORR, RPS.

R-F = 95% 4.10's
ORR = 50/50
RPS = 95% 4.30's

I calculated the RPMS @ 90 MPHs (essentially my top cruising speed):

3.55's w/ 29" tires (AKA STOCK): 3701

3.55 w/ 32" tires: 3354

4.10 w/ 32" tires: 3874

4.30 w/ 32" tires: 4063

What are the cons of the 4.30's? I'm leaning towards the 4.30s, but I change my mind on an hourly basis (gas mileage or power... hrmm hrmm.. hrmm how bad will my mileage be??... hmm hmm).

first of all wtf you doing "cruising" at 90 MPH..and 4.10 are fine..i have 33's and 4.10 and i still have lots of giddy up and go your gas mileage is gonna go out the window either way be happy your only a 2wd..and its not power its torque the higher the gears the more torque youll get off the line..and to adjust your speedo just move your needle or get an Xcal to re tune it and youll get more power..

I WOULDNT take 4:30s in your situation there 32s you dont need 430s youll be paying for gas more then youd like 410 are jsut fine..456 would be just over kill..but i guess whatever floats your boat

tags in the door.. then you have to decode it haha.

I run 4:10s and 33s.. and i can roast the **** out of them if i want.. no need to go bigger and 4:10s are more common.
