4wd front driveline. NEED HELP!!!

While replacing the throwout bearing/slave cylinder assembly, the front driveline got bumped around a little bit. We took it loose from the front differential but left it attached to the transfer case. When we got it all back together, you can grab the u-joint end and turn it, its spinning inside itself on the transfer case side. Whats came loose? I took the six bolts out where it attaches to the transfer case but it doesn't want to come apart. Smacked it with a hammer a few times and still nothing. Is there a joint of some kind inside that part? Any help would be appreciated
