Hello all, I have a 2007 ext cab 4.0 manual 4x4. When 4 wheel drive is engaged there is a thump noise from the front sounds similar to running over a cable on highway. It has just over 68k miles, the clutch was replaced recently. When it is in 2wd there is no noise, it is more noticeable on pavement then snow or ice.

Any help would be most apperciated!!!

I would need 4 wheel drive on highway as my cooper STT's are horrible on snow or ice. When there worn I plane to get some better tires.

 

I had this same problem with mine. Check your transfer case fluid, mine was low.
