4X4 FLUID FLUSH HELP
4X4 FLUID FLUSH HELP
i am needing to service my truck for the 4X4 fluid change. is that something that i can do on my own or should i just take it to ford? i am able to do it myself so if its not to comlicated i would rather save some money and do it all myself if its possible
Front diff take it to someone. Unless you feel like either dropping the front axle out of the truck or suck the gear oil out the top though the fill hole.
Rear diff pop the cover let it drain into a pan and rtv the cover install and top off with 2.5 quarts of the appropriate gear lube.
Tcase, pull the damper, remove th3e fill plug, remove the drain plug and drain into a pan. Refill again till it won take anymore i think its just over 2 quarts use the same fluid in that is in the trans if possible.
