8.8 rearend

Hey all new guy here, with a few question's in regards to a 7.5 to 8.8 rear end swap as I'm sure I'm beating a dead horse I cant help but ask anyway. I just today purchased an 8.8 rear end with 3.73 gears, traction lock, disc brakes exct exct, my question more or less is to the the people who have done this swap or have ever had an 8.8 I'm fairly happy with what Ive got however im curious if anyone else has ran these gears on a 2.5 liter and if they were happy. I'm looking for an all around fast gear any info would be appreciated.

Slick, so basically numerically as the numbers go higher the quicker the acceleration, not as if im going to shoot to the moon, just educating myself. Please excuse my ignorance this is the first differential I've ever worked on. Out of curiosity has anyone done this swap on a 2.5 liter I'm really curious as to how it'll run

=============================
ALL Explorers have 8.8's, 91-94 were drum brakes & 95up are discs and gear ratio varies, just have to look at the tag or the door sticker to see what code it has.
