How hard is it to change from a auto trans to a manual ??? What all is required.. How much is a manual trans for a 2000 2wd 3.0 ?

 

There are a few members that have done the auto to manny swap, but if it's your DD and not a project truck....I say just get a manny tranny Ranger and go from there. Almost like the guys with 2wd that want to make it a 4wd.

I'm sure a few guys will chime in with procedures and costs.........

 

100% best thing is get a donor truck to swap it all. you need the pedal assembly. the plate for the floor for the manual. the shifter the shifter console, delete the gear select on the cluster, new steering colum, the other trucks ECU, the trans and a few other minor things...

 

So if i can find a wrecked 3.0 and buy the parts off it .. it shouldnt be that bad..
